Post Office Directory of Cornwall 1856. Each town, village and hamlet in the county of Cornwall is described with details of local history, facilities and institutions. Each place also has its own lists of private residents and tradespeople.
There are also separate countywide directories of private residents and classified trades.
One section gives interesting information regarding mines in Cornwall and Devon.

By this time Kelly's directories had become much more comprehensive.
This directory is a wonderful resource for historians and genealogists, it includes every town, village and hamlet in the county of Cornwall, with details of facilities, churches, schools etc. Lists of residents, not just those with trades, although not every household is included, and a superb trades directory.

A very large directory which contains details about history and institutions for
each place in the directory.
